   I climbed for over 7 years and it is the most fulfilling job I ever had. He does have a harness on, and it’s true, staying ‘connected’ to tower while climbing is a hastle.. The best office in the world!!! TOWER DOGGS!!

   OMG…..that is EXACTLY what happend to me. My hands got all sweaty when I was watching this, and I agree…..I think they should have a parachute just in case. Some chance of survival is better than NO chance.

    @FishSticksSmells It’s possible the parachute could snag on the tower if there isn’t enough clearance between the falling worker and the tower itself.

    Wow. Here in …
    Wow. Here in Australia it is against the law to climb any structure without being tied off all the time. No if’s, no buts, no excuses. We have very strict workplace safety laws here. Yes it may be ‘faster’ to not tie yourself off constantly, but when you’re talking about one slip and you’re dead – no 2nd chances – who cares about being fast!? I would have thought that the US would be just as strict. An incredible video however which made feel quite weird in places, like I was climbing it too!

    Look ive been a climber for six years. First off anyone who doesnt safety off is an idiot thats tower climbing 101. And yes its true osha does not apply 83% of there rules to us and the ones that do are general construction(hard hats, boots, etc..) I have a 10hr osha class card. If you free climb you will fall if your safety’d off you wont fall far. This is the best job on the planet ive seen things words couldnt explain. No job is worth your life. People die in this industry all the time frien
